Description
The sympathetic nervous system (SNS) is one of the three divisions of the autonomic nervous system, the others being the parasympathetic nervous system and the enteric nervous system. The enteric nervous system is sometimes considered part of the autonomic nervous system, and sometimes considered an independent system.
मनुष्य के विविध अंगों और मस्तिष्क के बीच संबंध स्थापित करने के लिए धागे से भी पतले अनेक स्नायुतंतु होते हैं। स्नायुतंतुओं की लच्छियाँ अलग अलग बँधी रहती हैं। इनमें से प्रत्येक को तंत्रिका (नर्व) कहते हैं। प्रत्येक में कई एक तंतु रहते हैं। तंत्रिकाओं के समुदाय को तंत्रिकातंत्र कहते हैं। ये तंत्र तीन प्रकार के होते हैं:
- (१) स्वायत्तनियंत्री (ऑटोनोमिक),
- (२) संवेदी (सेंसरी) और
- (३) चालक (मोटर) तंत्र।
